Hello, I’m Stephanie, a Junior in CD! I’m really excited to work on this website and provide everyone with fun stories and articles. Some things I love are The Sims 4, American Horror Story, heavy metal, true crime, and Chili’s. I’m at desk #41 (to the right of the front door, next to the blue wolf mannequin), feel free to visit if you need any help!
My Recommendations For Student Resources!
Library
- The staff is awesome and the views are great. I currently work evenings in the library and my favorite thing is our zine collection! We have so many student zines and it’s fun to see what others have made. Coolest part is that you can submit zines too! Just ask the front desk about it.
“New” Print Lab Printer
- I know we’re all familiar with the print lab but they just changed one of the printers to “custom paper only” and it is such a LIFESAVER.
Bulletin Boards
- This is very specific but the bulletin boards on some of the floors in the tower. Pay attention to those because sometimes there’s events and opportunities that are not posted anywhere else
Massart Student Page
- The new students who run it are great and it’s a fast way to keep up with events. They provide highlights on school events and also participate in holiday challenges like recently, Inktober.
Figma Mobile App
- This has helped so much when we’re working on mobile apps. To me, it’s the equivalent of printing out your work to see it physically. Really helps with getting a feel of the app and how the user would feel.
Behance.net
- I recently started using this and I think it’s a really good place to get inspiration (Love Pinterest but Behance is specifically for design). It has helped so much when I feel stuck.
Awwwards.com
- This site is similar to Behance, another good place for inspo
General
- Photoshoot room. It’s available by appointment only and I think you get an hour but it’s so fun to use. Lots of equipment and backgrounds.
- The All-School Show is a fun way to display student work and it can be any work related to your major, not just the work you’ve done for assignments.
