Food is essential! That’s why you need to know where to get food, snacks, beverage, and coffee around campus to keep you going!
Kennedy Cafeteria
The MassArt cafeteria is located on the first floor of the Kennedy Building. You can find in here:
- Eat>Cafe: offers a wide variety of menu choices like sandwiches, soup, hot entrees, and fresh bakery items.
- Peet’s Coffee: offers a wide variety of hand-crafted espresso and tea beverages.
- The dining service also offers a full range of catering and seasonal specials and is managed by Sodexo.

Convenience Stores
- Tessie’s Market: is a convenience store on campus located in the Artists’ Resident building. They sell various products such as grab-and-go meals, snack options, and health and beauty products that you might need.
Vending Machine
Tower:
- Banana Room: is located on the second floor. Vending machine for snacks and another one for coffee.
- 2nd Floor: on the second floor of Tower is a vending machine for cold beverages.
- 8th Floor: snacks, coffee, cold beverages, and pre-made food.
Microwaves
You can find microwaves on Tower 4th and 8th Floor, Kennedy 1st Floor. Don’t forget to keep the area clean after using the microwaves and be careful, please.
Other Choices
- The Shelf: offers free non-perishable food and toiletries. It is open to all MassArt students. Go to the Student Development Office on the 2nd Floor of the Kennedy building. The Shelf Hours are: Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 7:30 am. Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Fair Foods: is a community food share organization of people that distribute food for schools, churches, public housing, and senior center across Boston. Here is their website, which it tells you the areas they are located and schedule.
- Community Fridges: are for everyone, no exception. You can find community fridges in the areas of Boston. Here is the different location where they are located. Also, you can volunteer or help the cause by sharing food, such a fantastic idea!
