Everything you need to know to survive your first final review online!
There have been many changes with COVID, including sophomore reviews. Hopefully, we can experience the final reviews in person at MassArt again soon.
If your first semester at MassArt was during COVID times, probably, you heard for the first time in that first zoom meeting about a final review, but you didn’t pay much attention to it (haha).
Tips to help you prepare:
- For your final sophomore review, you would be assigned a folder that will be shared with you on google drive. In the folder, you will find the final review form that contains some questions about yourself and reflection questions about your semester at MassArt. Also, in that same google document, two of the professors assigned to review your work will write down constructive critiques talking about what you did well and what you should keep working on for next semester.
- It’s essential to keep your files organized on your computer. Sometimes, your desktop can get messy when working on a project or assignment. It’s good to create many different folders to keep your work organized and avoid losing important files that you might be desperate to find the night before the final review.
- You need to have your files named accordingly and in the correct format for the final review. To find out how to name your files, you should ask your professors how you should name your assignments before the final review to be prepared when it’s time to upload your files. Also, it’s a google presentation containing how you should name your files that your professor would share with you during class (Don’t forget to save it!).
- It’s very important to show your process, and it’s something that you’re going to need to have prepared for your final review. A good way of presenting your process online is creating a google slide presentation where you can upload pictures, screenshots, sketches, and anything else that helps your process. Google slides allow you to download your presentation as a pdf file, making it easy to add it to your final review folder.
